6. Conjunctions - These are words that connect or combine two clauses or sentences. We also call them Linkers . Example - and, but, since, because etc.
7. Prepositions - These are words that we use to relate a noun & a Verb etc. Example - at, on, from, under etc.
8. Interjections - These are words that are used to show sudden emotions of surprise, sorrow, joy, disappointment, hatred etc. Example - Hurrah!, Alas!, Bravo! etc
Exclamatory sign (!) is always put after an Interjection.
Look at following sentences & find out different parts of speech. Identify colour words only.
1. Aman is the most important person in the village.
2. He is laughing.
3. Anand and Mrinal are cousins.
4. The crow is sitting on a twig.
5. He runs very fast.
6. Boys are working hard. They are busy in their work.
7. Hurrah! I have passed.
8. What a wonderful day!
9. The Himalyas are the highest mountains.
10. The little girl is crying bitterly.
